This month I have been in South Florida, so Karen decided to take a break from the cold winter weather of Missouri and join me for a weekend in Sunny South Florida!
Itinerary
Thursday: Beach Day with dinner at Le Tub
Friday: Water Taxi tour of "the Venice of the Americas, " window shopping along Las Olas Blvd with dinner at Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza
Saturday: Day trip to Key West with dinner at Snappers
Sunday: The Everglades- 15 mile bike ride at Shark Valley and a Cooperstown air boat ride
Miami- dinner at La Carreta and walking South Beach

Favorites

Meal:

Mary says, "my favorite meal was pizza and wings from Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza. It was delicious and worth the wait! The wings had caramelized onions and the pizza was covered in ricotta cheese! So so good!

Karen says, "My favorite was also the pizza. Oh, I am dreaming of that pizza as I type!"

Snack:

Karen says, " The pretzel in Key West was pretty tasty. I didn't partake of the frozen, chocolate-covered key lime pie. They also had frozen, white chocolate-dipped key lime pie that I am kicking myself for not getting."
Mary says, "Kermit's frozen key lime pie dipped in chocolate on a stick...no words"

Activity:

Mary says, "Even though my gluteus maximus was sore, the 15 mile bike ride was a blast! This was my second bike ride in Shark Valley and it is just a good time!"

Karen says, "In all honesty, I'm pretty easy-going and just loved being in the warm climate and seeing and doing things I had never done before. Mary's a pretty good tour guide, so everything we did was super fun. Laying on the beautiful beach and soaking up the sun felt pretty good. It's been far too cold in St. Louis this winter. Swimming/being in the ocean for the first time also ranked high on my list. Boy, oh boy was it cold at first, but it's absolutely georgous!"
