Circus Flora

With the skyrocketing St. Louis temperatures and loud cicadas, Karen and I decided to spend an evening touring St. Louis. First we stopped at The Fountain on Locust for dinner. This St. Louis original features Art Deco decor and serves yummy food and ice cream!

Karen and I didn't really understand what the big deal was...and I personally think a black toilet is a really really bad idea (you can not tell if it is clean or not!)

Our food: my chicken salad sandwich was delicious! Karen says her soup was good, despite its appearance (okay that I am the one that thinks the soup looks horrible!)

Our dessert! We both had to try the pretzel cones:
Karen went with an orange sherbet and I had chocolate!

After dinner, we headed to another St. Louis original: Circus Flora! Circus Flora is a one-ring production that entertains through traditional circus arts...It is AMAZING! The performances were out of this world! My mouth was open for two hours straight, hands clammy and thoughts like..."oh no...they aren't going to do that are they?...oh my gosh!...this can not be good...why are they doing that? It was two hours of pure enjoyment and torture!
The best part is you can still buy tickets and see it for yourself through the end of June...to buy tickets go here.

Thanks for following us on our adventures! Stay tuned for more summer fun :)
