Christmas in St. Charles

Historic St. Charles

St. Charles, Missouri's first capital, has one of the most beautiful streets in the area. Main street is lined with charming old store fronts and homes. The area is full of unique stores and fantastic goodies! Even though the day turned out to be overcast with a steady drizzle, we braved the rain--with our friends Susie and Courtney--and enjoyed the Christmas festivities on Main Street.

If you are in the area during the holiday season, St. Charles is a wonderful place to visit!

New Town

After visiting Old St. Charles, we headed to New Town, a planned community in St. Charles. We wanted to see the "old" compared to the "new."

And the day ended with...

Thank goodness Karen's dad could come and help!

Karen was really excited to find that her car had a full size spare tire!

While Christina and I kept warm in the car we occupied ourselves with the Internet and cinnamon spiced pecans--okay okay the pecans were Karen's and I was the only one to snitch a couple but they were worth it and I did confess my sin when we got back on the road!

We always have fun outings, and Saturday was no different. Not even rain or a flat tire could dampen our spirits!

We wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
